1. Information We Collect

  • Account Details. Email address, password hash, and subscription status.
  • Billing Data. Name, billing address, and payment confirmation (processed by our PCI‑compliant payment provider; Modular never sees full card numbers).
  • Uploaded Content. Images you submit for alt‑text generation and any text you enter into the Service interface.
  • Usage Metrics. Log data such as time stamps, browser type, and credit balance consumption.
  • Cookies. Session cookies for authentication and preference cookies for interface settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Generate alt text for your uploaded images.
  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Process payments and administer subscriptions.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate critical updates.
  • Produce anonymized, aggregate statistics (e.g., total images processed per day).

3. Image Storage and Deletion

Uploaded images are held in encrypted storage for up to 30 days to allow re‑downloads and quality checks. After 30 days, images are permanently deleted from our servers. Generated alt text may remain in your account history until you delete it or close the account.

4. Third‑Party Processing

Modular may send your images to reputable third‑party AI processors that meet or exceed our security requirements for the sole purpose of generating alt text. These providers have no right to use your content for any other purpose.

5. Data Security

  • All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2 or higher.
  • Data at rest is encrypted using AES‑256.
  • Access to production systems is limited to authorized Modular personnel.
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability scans are performed.

6. Your Choices and Rights

  • You can access, download, or delete your stored images and generated alt text at any time from the dashboard.
  • You may close your account, which triggers deletion of personal data not required for tax or legal obligations.
  • You can disable non‑essential cookies through your browser settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us to remove it.

8. International Users

Our servers are located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and storage of your information in the U.S. and other jurisdictions as necessary.

9. Governing Law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in Kentucky state or federal courts.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be announced via email or dashboard notification. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
